Dr. Joseph Ahlo DMD, MS
Dr. Joseph Ahlo is a board certified periodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He specializes in both surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapy, as well as surgical implant therapy. After graduating with a B.A. degree in Anthropology from the University of Florida, Dr. Ahlo attended Tufts University in Boston where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree. He then completed a General Practice Residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park on Long Island, followed by his periodontal surgical residency at Columbia University in New York City, where he received his Masters degree in the specialty of Periodontics. While at Columbia University, he received the Melvin L. Morris Fellowship Periodontics Award and was published in the New York Academy of Sciences. Dr. Ahlo is actively involved in continuing education and is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, New York State Dental Society, and Nassau County Dental Society. He enjoys spending time with his family, sports, and traveling.
